Day 5 – The Diet is still working!

Lost another pound today, total 6 ½ pounds – not bad, actually great! I was again nauseas this morning and it seems to happen after I drink the Berry Splash drink. I haven’t been drinking that one at night instead I just drink a fruit drink, I really like the B Monster and the C Monster drinks by Odwalla and I feel like I’m giving myself a treat from all the powder stuff.

Couldn’t walk today, it’s over 95, just too hot. Tomorrow, I’m going to have to walk really early since it appears that we are in for a week of hot weather, they say it might even hit 100 tomorrow.

Made a pretty good soup tonight all in the crock pot, dry lentils, an onion, two tomatoes, little garlic, 2 carrots. It actually would have been really good if I could have added salt, so it was bland. I really wish the 21 Pounds in 21 Days book would offer a lot more soup recipes - that is definitely needed!!!

Pretty excited about the weight loss and can even tell my clothes seem to fit much better – yea! But, I have to be honest I am counting the days until it’s over. It’s a very easy diet as I’m not hungry, but I still wish I could munch and crunch and some pasta would be really nice right now. So, I just have to keep focused and pursue on to my dreams of really losing weight this time. Yea, day 5 is done, Kate

  1. I just started–I’m on day 2 and so ready for real food. I just wanted to let you know that you can use Bragg’s Liquid Aminos for a salty flavor. It really, really helps. I read about it in her book, so I tried it. My soups are tasty now.

    BTW, are you taking any prescription meds while on this? She didn’t say what would happen if you do.

    Yep, I’m taking all my prescription meds. I don’t think any diet would be healthy if they told you to stop taking your prescriptions. I also added a vitamin a couple of days ago. Thanks for the suggestion on the Bragg’s Liquid, I think I have some in my cabinets I’ll give it a try, my soups are so bland because I’m not crazy about herbs. Thanks for writing in, good luck on your diet, I had to keep reminding myself that 21 days is not long in a person’s life and well worth the lack of food for that short of period. It seemed to help me remember my goal. Kate
